You have to take your hat off to Cheryl Stewart. She bought this post back in 2003 and has done an incredible job restoring it. If that wasn’t impressive enough, she then built the museum above ground to chronicle the history of the Royal Observer Corps. She has regular “Doors Open” days throughout the year in conjunction with the local council. The post is in a secure compound and when not in use is completely stripped out. She has a dedicated group of former Observers and volunteers who help run and organise events. She is also actively involved in the ROC Heritage. Very impressive and a great source of information and inspiration.
